Hello all,

One of our employees' date of birth has been entered incorrectly in the EPF account. Now, he wishes to withdraw his funds as he has resigned from our organization. Firstly, I need to submit a form to correct his date of birth and then proceed with his withdrawal forms. Could you please advise me on the procedure for changing his date of birth?

Thank you.

Hi!

In this kind of situation, you can write a covering letter for the Change of Date of Birth letter (the one that was wrongly updated on the ECR portal by mistake) along with claim forms 10C and 19 to submit to the EPF office. This will help clarify the issue.

Hi,

The application for correction of the employee's date of birth (DOB) should be supported with either the SSLC or DOB certificate issued by a competent government authority for acceptance by the PF department. Please provide a narration, reason, or explanation for the change of DOB.

Dear Mr. Murthy,

Greetings for the day.

I am enclosing a cover letter for your reference. Please fill it out and submit it to the EPFO. Once the form is submitted, the matter will be sorted out.

Thanks & Regards,
