Dear Seniors,

I have one doubt about the EPF UAN online claim process (Joint Declaration). Here we have the option to change the date of birth with the proof of Date of Birth certificate, educational certificate, and passport. However, the problem is that my employees do not have these three proofs because they are illiterate people. How can I provide the proof and change the date of birth?

Please suggest to me.

Hi Murugan,

We were also facing the same issue regarding PF. You can ask your member to obtain an age proof certificate attested by a Government doctor or contact the District Court or Magistrate.

Thank you, Swathi ma'am.

If we get attestation from a Government doctor or contact the District Court or Magistrate, will it be accepted by the EPF Office or not? Can you confirm if acceptance from EPFO or any claims have been settled by EPFO - this is for clarity purposes only.

Hi Murugan,

When contacted a staff working in the PF office, she guided us this way. Yes, we have submitted 3 claims, and the PF office has approved them. Our employees have also received their amounts.

Hello,

My dad's date of birth does not match the date of birth on the scheme certificate, resulting in the application being returned during processing.

What actions can be taken to correct the date of birth on the scheme certificate?
