Hello Parimal,

Safety Day celebrations can be done through the following activities in your engineering company.

- Safety Pledge
- Safety-related awareness Training: touch upon all areas critical to your company/plant
- Safety-related presentation wherein you can run a film showing accidents/incidents of the past in other companies, explain the root cause for the same, touch upon the precautionary measures, Safety related "do's" and "don'ts," importance of PPE's, etc.
- On-site emergency/assembly point related information
- Safety-related JDI/Mini-Kaizen activities (if any)
- Formation of Safety committee, Safety committee-related information, and details about their role and responsibilities
- Safety slogan competition
- Safety poster competition
- Award ceremony.

The best way to involve your company associates is by engaging them in all these activities. Plan out the program using these guidelines. Engineering companies usually conduct a "Safety Week celebration" rather than a "Safety Day celebration."

Good Luck,

AB

Hi,

You can consider organizing a drawing competition for your employees on the subject of safety. Allow employees to take the company-provided chart paper home to create a safety drawing, and they can seek assistance from their family members. The best drawing can be selected for an award and displayed in the factory.
