Hi,
I am in a big dilemma regarding the withdrawal of my Provident Fund (PF) from my previous company. I left TCS in October 2014 and am currently working in another MNC. Initially, I joined TCS-EServer, but in April 2013, TCS took over TCS-EServer. I seek your assistance in the withdrawal of PF due to a medical emergency (maternity). My date of joining TCS E-serve was October 25, 2008, and my date of resignation was in October 2014.

You are not allowed to withdraw PF when you are working for another company that is subject to PF. You will have to give an illegal declaration to fool the system.
Instead, you can take a loan for medical purposes from the PF department.

Up to what percentage can I withdraw the PF under a medical emergency?
One more suggestion regarding the PF withdrawal form option 'Declaration of Non-Employment': how should I fill it out? It states that in the case of submission of the application for settlement under clause (E) of sub-paragraph (1) and in clause (2) of paragraph 69 of the EPF Scheme 1952, the claim should be submitted after two months from the date of leaving service, provided the member remains unemployed in an establishment to which the Act applies.

As I have said on the forum before, to withdraw PF while still working needs a misdeclaration is generally a bad idea. However, many people do it anyway. With the new portal, it's easier to catch than before. But you can still get away with it if you are comfortable with deliberate false declaration.
The quantum of the loan depends on a number of factors. It is best to check with your HR or the PF department.
