Hi Professionals,
I want to know the major differences between IT and non IT in terms of HR Practices/Policies. I found that, compare to non IT there are more advanced policies/procedures are followed by the IT industry. can anyone share new HR practices on below mentioned HR Practices in both IT & Non IT Industries.
1. Employee Engagement Activities
2. Performance Appraisal/ Performance Improvement Plan/ Performance Development Programme
3. Employee Satisfaction
4. Induction
5. New Policies if any

Dear Muali,
Whether is is IT or Non IT the HR policies will remain same as far as your five points are concerned
1. Employee Engagement Activities
2. Performance Appraisal/ Performance Improvement Plan/ Performance Development Programme
3. Employee Satisfaction
4. Induction
5. New Policies if any
As to whether it is recruitment, background verification, or salary administration or performance management, but in the manufacturing sector and security and housekeeping organizations, Industrial Relations play a vital role, like addressing the workers grievances, counseling or wage negotiation with unions are the crux of the issue.
Thanks & regards
