I assume this. Pl correct me, if I am wrong
An employee resigned from your organization 5 months back. His FF settlement was done incl PF claim. Now your organization has announced salary revision for all employees with retrospective effect (For Eg: from 1st Jan).
Assuming your employee resigned in Mar 2014, you want to know how the calculation works for these 3 months? (Jan to Mar 2014?). Am I right?

Melway Services,
Your question is not clear. If Mr.Shivaramakrishna assumption is correct, then Yes. He is entitled to receive the revision of his salary retraspective from the date of applicability till the date of his relieving. Now your querry is for disbursement and payment of his revision salary. Employee might have left, but you must be having his personal details. Send a letter advising him to come and collect his balance salary if not ask him how and where to be sent. You can send by Demand Drft less Commission to his address. But even if he with draws the Provident Fund, you have to deposit his and employers contribution to his PF account as supplementary.
Because I have faced such an examples during my tenure of services where charter of demands are finalized under Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 after prolonged negotiations say even 2 years and applicable from the date of revision of salary retrospectively and not prospectively irrespective of employee is on roll, resigned or superannuated. The resignations, superannuation, retirement and deaths does not wait for any settlement. We are bound to implement the settlement after signing.
I hope you are clear in the matter.
