Thank you for your comments, Dear S R BAlLAJI. Your feedback is extremely important in motivating me to share training materials.

I shared this PPT because every organization is made up of employees, and they can only perform their best when motivated. Employees will give their best only when they are motivated.

Amar B. Singh, nice presentation, but allow me to share my comments. You may agree to disagree.

Please remember the thumb rule that you can't motivate any normal, mature human being with any reward or by fear because both these methods are temporary. The wants in them increase every second. What will you do next? Will you keep on giving rewards? The only solution is self-motivation. A self-motivated person will not work to receive some extra cash or good comments from his boss. He will do his job professionally. Try it once.

Dear Sir,

I agree with you that a reward is a temporary motivation. While managing people in the business world, you come across two types of people. 1. Self-motivated people, as you mentioned, will work on their own because they have their own goals to achieve. A manager has to identify these goals and just help these employees to achieve their goals, and they will perform. 2. The second type of people are those who are not self-motivated; they need to be motivated by managers. For that, the manager has to identify what motivates these people and help them to achieve that. It may be money, recognition, or career advancement.

In the business world, a manager has to continuously motivate people to get the best results; there is no everlasting method of motivation. Motivational needs of people may change with time. Once our motivation may be money, but once we get money, our next desire may be recognition.

Thanks for sharing your views; they are valuable to me.

Regards, Amar Bir Singh
