Dear Smriti,
If your company is paying 30/31 days of salary, then in that case, your week off (Sunday) is a paid week off. So, in this case, if you are present on Saturday and take leave on Monday and Tuesday, it will be a two-day leave. However, if you are absent on Saturday and take leave on Monday and Tuesday, then it will be a three-day leave.
If your company is paying salary for 26 days by deducting the 4 weekly offs in a month, then even if you are present on Saturday and take leave on Monday and Tuesday, it will be a two-day leave since your weekly offs are not paid.
Thank you.

Kindly go to the link - http://www.sharpfacility.com/Labour%...ablishment.pdf scroll down to Section 35: Leave. The leave allowed to an employee under clauses (a) and (b) shall be inclusive of the day or days during the period of such leave, on which a shop or commercial establishment remains closed under sub-section (1) of section 18, or on which he is entitled to a holiday under sub-section (1) of section 24 or section 31. This clearly means that if your sat is a working day, and you took leaves on Sat, Mon, Tue, your leaves to be counted shall be Sat-Sun-Mon-Tue, i.e., 4. I hope this clears your doubts...
If, however, you work 5 days a week and Sat-Sun are weekly offs, in such cases, Mon-Tue will be a 2-day leave. Hope your doubt was clarified...
