What is the purpose of writing this mail to your staff and higher management.
If you are not intended or expecting to get some increment in your salary, then simply you can distribute sweet with a note on the Sweet Tray "Dr. Himani".
Surely the staff will understand and if any one ask the reason then you can verbally inform them.
Still I am also having the same doubt as like our other members who have raised early. Once you cannot write two lines regarding your successful completion of your PHD, then how you are planning to manage your team, the management and other staff. It seems that your education is of no use. By seeing your education your followers must feel that they also should pursue PHD. But in your case, it is not possible.

It is not that if one has done Doctorate Degree cant seek help for anything or he is the most genius person on this planet.
I am just inviting suggestion and i guess tht is the purpose of this forum only . Instead of discouraging other or demoralizing anybody .
HR person should always be calm and should always check his/ her word before saying .. then only they are consider as a good HR person and even suitable for HR role.
I am not here to give any proof of my doctorate degree for wht you all are creating doubts.
and its also not like that if one is Dr. can do everything correct . Doctorate degree is always on a single topic which dont proof that one cant seek help / suggesting drafting good mailer .
I guess this form is loosing its dignity now .....

I understand your feelings. But looks like even writing a few lines on what you have achieved, is being outsourced to the forum. It would have been much better if you had composed the email yourself and then asked people how it could be improved.
More and more, this forum is being used by people to get things from others (which is not wrong by itself) without having put in even a few hours of efforts from their own side. So, the members are justified is saying what they are.

The above thread only shows to prove that standards and quality of education has been on a steady decline in our country. For every project or research required to be submitted - notes and project reports are available off the shelf for a price or even in the web.
When we interview candidates even at the Managerial level, the candidates stumble upon , not able to deliver the basic required for the job profile we expect. Nowadays every other candidate is a MBA just like those days (1980s) graduates. Erstwhile graduates were enormously knowledgeable, but, I pity the modern days MBAs (Non -B-school MBAs I am talking about)
Everyone is on the veryge of MPhil and Phd, but very sorry to say that the quality of their knowledge, acumen is far far from the desired standards. MBAs, Phds have become more cosmetic than realistic and purposeful.
So we cannot blame by singling out Mr Himani. We will wish him Good Luck!

for how much rupees you got the PHD degree please tell me the shop name,

this point i have highlighted many times, i am not a manager nor a senior person i am just an executive / jr executive but i really wonder on what basis do people post in this site that they are Manager , Senior Manager and dont know a single letter to draft, dont even know basics of HR, and ask simple simple immature questions regarding HR, and basic english letter drafting, this is not the first case that i have come, i come across so many posts wherein people in their signatures have mentioned as Manager , Sr. Manager HR etc and so on and cant even draft a letter which we learnt in school itself.
Life sure favors such people and they end up in high paying jobs and good designations but lack of basic communication skills, dont know when india will really start recruiting people based on their skills and knowledge rather than other things. A really sad thing.

Himani's is a case to ponder with nuances of quality prevalent in Indian Education system, it is also worthwhile to see the issue on a larger canvas, as vast majority of school-goers tend to carry on their schooling in their mother tongue or vernacular. Indian political system favors local language study at the elementary and up to HSC level. College education they pursue in English medium. Naturally they find it difficult to cope up with English communication in officialdom. Very few people master the art of communication in English both in written and / or spoken. As we are in a multi-lingual society, with reservation system dominating in Government sector jobs, yes, we need to face such anomalies.
Hope it is understood as an acceptance and let us carry on with our tasks with whatever we have been entrusted , value-add and reach pinnacles of glory whenever and wherever possible..

I have read with interest the exchanges just today. I must concur with most of the views. The standard of education has gone down considerably in other parts of the world, too. For example, see the concern of the UK Govt at Modular GCSEs to be scrapped - Education News - Education - The Independent
The standard of English of 1930s Metriculates, from Madras Presidency (I think that's the term used), was much better than the graduates of the 1960s. In the UK, in the 1960s, even to do a postgrad diploma one required a degree and 2 years experience. Now, school leavers with experience can join part-time MBA courses. Same is the case in India.
People who have followed my posts at CiteHR would have noticed that I advice bloggers to give their answers to their own queries and seek help to improve, instead of seeking answers on-a-plate. They also will have seen posts where companies advertise that they can supply answers to assignments and ready-made dissertations for a price.

Why we are always arguing about Indian Education System and the quality got deteriorated. Instead of blaming the entire system, why can't we think in that way as said by Mr. Ravi, there is some problem within us.
From the remote village one boy whose parents are illiterate and he reached upto the post of President of India (Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam) also studied in the same education system. You and me and our other members also studied in the same education system.
It is we who have not opened the books even on the day of exams and blaming the exam questions are tough, then fate is not favoured, then due to hard luck I did not get some good job, then finally blaming the entire country and its education system. Let us correct ourselves first, if we do so, then obviously the entire street, town, district, state then country and even the world will get corrected.
