Hello Friends,4 months back i have joined a company as a HR executive. In my appointment letter it is mention that i am eligible for 12 paid leaves but as per my company policy fresher candidates are only eligible for 8 paid leaves and i am also a fresher. In my pay slip also 8 paid leaves are mention.I have not yet discussed about this 8 and 12 paid leaves with my senior because i think she will stick with the 8 paid leaves only and probably change terms related to paid leaves in my appointment letter. but i think we cant change the terms in the appointment letter once it is issued only at the time of appraisal when the salary is revised we give new appointment letter.I don't know now whether i am eligible for the 8 paid leaves or 12.

Dear Anju, Mistakes can happen even in appointment letter. If there is rule that freshers are eligible for only 8 leaves then you will also fall under the same cadre.

Why so fussy about 8 or 12 leaves.Being a fresher, your focus should have been that you have four more days available for learning. B.Saikumar

Hello All, I am totally agree with B. Saikumar as a Fresher you should focus more on learning rather than to be worry about leaves Thnaks And Regards

Dear Anju,
I feel you should once clarify this matter with your HR senior, not by claiming 4 more leaves but yes bringing the discrepancy to their notice. So, that if its a mistake, in future a care will be taken to avoid such mistake and if its correct then you will get four more leaves...
so go ahead...

The rule of 12 days of leave will apply after completion of one year
In general, a fresher (not completed 1 year) will be eligible for no leave.
So, i assume the dice is in your favour by giving you 8 leave when you have not finished the year of work.
