Anybody and everybody who has been hired by the company to do work. The Manager or the General Manager or the Vice-President...all are employees of the company.

Let me add one more word to Sanjeev's post, that is, the "Employees only on roles" need to be on the muster roll.

Thanks, Raz

It is better to have one muster roll for non-managerial class of employees and another for mangerial class to avoid any technical problems latter. B.Saikumar HR & Labour Law advsior Mumbai

Dear All,

I have a few more doubts regarding the Muster Roll:

1. I have noticed that some industries, such as Telecom and IT companies, are not maintaining the Muster Roll. Could you please let me know which industries are required to maintain it?

2. When a company mentions the approximate number of employees working in their organization to the Labour Officer for permission, is there a specific threshold number that, if exceeded, requires the company to obtain additional permission?

Regards,
Murali

If the director is also employee of the organisation and receiving remuneration for doing the work, his name can also be born on muster roll. B.Saikumar Mumbai
