Respected seniors,
Kindly give your valuable suggestion on below topics:
We started 3 units under Bombay shop act in one building (single premises) in this unit only inspection process conducted for this process we use one compressor for all this three units.
We carried these units as piece rate job works type connected with a factory which carried out a manufacturing process
As per my knowledge if any process (inspection also) connected with factory (manufacturing process) is goes to under factory act not under shop act.
Is it wrong or right? Kindly give brief explanation.
How we can avoid factory act or what to do to avoid factory act.

Dear Shri Raju: The pertinent facts are not clear. I presume that the premises in question is where a compressor is used for inspection of material produced elsewhere. Mere inspection is not a manufacturing procvess under the Factories Act. So unless there are 10 or more employed in that premises and some manufacturing process is carried out as per the Act, then only it can be said that the premises in question is a Factory.

compressor used for if any chips lay inside the job then pressure of air will remove it .chips are as small as we cant see with naked eyes.and we have worker strenght up to 17 workers in each unit.Inspection process done without aid of power, that it only mannul like checking go-nogo gauge and other parameters.
