I completed B.Sc. in Computer Science and an M.B.A. in HR and Marketing. Is there any suitable course to pursue after this? If so, please suggest one in the HR field.

You have all the qualifications required to be a Super HR Specialist. Start working, Karthik, and get some experience in HR for 3-4 years. Amidst this, choose your specialization or be a Generalist who suits your aptitude and that you love to do without getting bored.
All the best.

But I am not getting the right interviews to join work in HR. Mostly marketing jobs only offered by consultancies. I also have experience of nearly 5 months in the HR field as an HR assistant while doing my project in the last 5 months. However, I am not getting any jobs related to HR. I don't know what to do next....?

Job Mantra: Keep searching and don't give up. In project experience, it cannot be counted as "experience". That's part of your course. Keep looking. Naukri and a few job sites in Coimbatore have requirements for freshers.
Here is a helper for you: [link no longer exists - removed]
Check Naukri, Monster, and of course, without saying, the local newspaper. Not many companies in Coimbatore advertise on job portals; hence, you might have to check with placement companies.
Please also be aware that marketing is a good venture. You can reach top management positions faster through marketing, so don't ignore if you get an opening in HR marketing, HR client relationship, etc.
All the best.

Hi Ukmitra,
I am doing all the above you said but not getting opportunities in HR. Mostly consultancy jobs are coming to my email, and when I enquire about the vacancies, all the consultancies are asking for payment. I don't know what to do; I am still looking for a job and attending interviews. If you know of any job openings, please let me know. It would be helpful for me.
Thank you.

Thank you, dear.
I would like to know some basic things in HR regarding interviews as an HR fresher. Even though I have some knowledge, there is a lot to learn. If you have any materials or links to suggest, please share them with me. This will help me to gain a deeper understanding of HR and related topics.

Sure, there are many resources available on the internet and on CiteHR. Here are a few helpful links:
1. [About.com - Human Resource](http://humanresources.about.com/)
2. Types of Labor Laws in India
3. Types of Acts affecting Indian Labor
4. Types of Recruiting Practices
5. Types of Interview Skills and Tools Used
6. Overview of typical components that make up a Cost to Company (CTC) for employees, including their calculation and related tax issues (a brief overview, not in-depth).
These are just a few topics that came to my mind. Wishing you all the best.
