First, let us know what kind of leave they have taken. Are you planning to combine the leave with the weekly off, i.e., Sunday? I hope that apart from sick leave, you cannot deduct leave for Sunday as it is always excluded.

In the same old matter (if any employee takes leave on Saturday and Monday, the company may deduct the leave for Sunday or not. The employee loses the salary of one day (Sunday).
Please provide me with directions written in any law book (labor law/wages law).

check your leave policy in that look out with are the suffix and prefix rules implemented this will give a clear idea whether leave will be deducted preceding a holiday & public holiday

Dear seniors, if the company calculate salary for the days in the month , then if an employee takes leave on saturday & monday the leave days should be taken as 2 days or 3 days Regards GG

In case of EL/PL, Sunday will not be deducted. However, in the case of SL, it will be counted as leave and will deduct 3 SL days (Saturday, Sunday, & Monday). For CL, you need to refer to the company policy and check for any prefix/suffix details.

In general terms, if an employee is on leave on Saturday and Monday, definitely Sunday will be counted in that leave. However, it depends on the company's leave policy. In my company, Sundays/holidays are not counted as leave.
