One of our employee has taken 15 days leave continuously, does this leave period include weekends or not? Any sandwich leave policy will be applicable here or not? Thank you

Hi,
It depends on your organization's leave policy. If you are following the sandwich rule, then leaves will be counted along with weekends or any other holiday leave. If not, then he/she can enjoy leaves without any further deduction of weekly offs.

Any leave in continuity for a week or more, the week off will not be applicable; hence, weekly off days are counted as leave. For example, if an employee is going on a 30-day leave from the 1st of June till the 30th of June, will you still pay for the 4 weekly offs as salary?
