Our company is a new IT company. The salary cycle is from the 21st of one month to the 20th of the next month. We work 6 days a week, with a total of 52 hours per week. We do not have any paid sick leave, but we do offer sandwich leave.
I would like to know:
1. The terms and conditions of sandwich leave.
2. Are all these rules applicable in one organization?

Hi Saumya,
I would like to explain with an example. If an employee applies for leave for 3 days on Friday, Saturday, and Monday (as Sunday is an off day), then in the case of Sandwich leave, the total number of leaves considered will be 4. Since Sunday falls in between the two leave days, it would be counted as leave in the Sandwich leave Policy. This rule may or may not apply to other holidays like Diwali, Gandhi Jayanti, etc.; it is at the management's discretion to deduct leaves.
Your second question is not clear! Please let me know if any other information is required. I am happy to help.
Thanks.

Hi,
This is my suggestion for leave regulations. If an employee takes a 3-day leave from Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the total leave considered will be 1 if the employee is present on Monday. If the employee also takes a leave on Monday, the total leave considered will be 4.
The above applies to companies that have a sandwich leave policy. If there are holiday leaves in between the mentioned days, the consideration should depend on the organization.
Additionally, the sandwich leave policy is applicable only to companies where there are two consecutive days off, specifically Saturday and Sunday.
I hope this is clear.
