Hi,
The concept of sandwich leave policy is a general practice followed by companies, and it doesn't form part of any statutory act. Employers and employees, on mutual consent, follow this, and many companies mention this sandwich leave in the employment contract itself. Employers, with the aim to improve man-hours and production and to avoid many employees availing leave at the same time, follow this.
