Hello everyone,
I was recently appointed at HDFC Bank. I was selected, and after that, they instructed me to submit the Offer Request Form and the last 3 months' salary slips. I have already done that, but it has been a week, and I haven't heard anything back from them yet.
Does anyone have an idea of how much time they usually take to send the offer letter? Please reply as I am eagerly waiting for it.

Hi,
I visited HR people this week, and they have told me that they are stuck with a budget approval. Whenever they have it, they will for sure call all the candidates who were shortlisted. Till then, their hiring is on hold. Why don't you also check with the guy who interviewed you? It may give us a clearer picture.

I have faced the HDFC gold loan operations interview on April 28th, 2016 this month. I had received a call from the Hyderabad branch operations manager who asked a few questions and then had an interview the very next day. The local Branch Operations Manager (BOM) came for a house verification, and the verification was completed with positive feedback. They sent the information to HR, but I have yet to receive a call from HR. Today, I gave a call to both the local and Hyderabad BOM. Both of them gave me different answers. The local BOM mentioned that their work is completed, and they have sent the data, assuring me that I will receive a call within a week. On the other hand, the Hyderabad BOM informed me that the process got frozen in front of HR, and it will take some time. They mentioned that they will provide me with an update and also asked about my current notice period.
I am very tense about whether my job is confirmed. Please let me know.

You are better off politely discussing your concerns with HDFC Bank. There is nothing anyone here can do to help you. We do not work for the bank.
It seems from your comments that they will do what needs to be done when they are ready to do it, and not before. Expecting them to jump to your commands is not going to win you any friends.
When you change jobs, you need to factor in all contingencies in case things don't go according to plan. That includes having funds to tide you over if there is a gap between leaving the old job and starting a new one. The only stress you have is the stress you cause yourself by a lack of planning.
Things can and do go wrong. If you learn nothing else in life, make sure you learn that lesson. Remember the Boy Scouts motto - BE PREPARED.
