Well first thing I wanna know from you is that as you have long 5 years of experience in Training as a TRAINER, then what made you feel to go with Payroll? Are you not happy with your present role and profile? Is there any growth problem or you are not enjoying your work now or what?
Why I am saying this bcz I want you to think again what exactly you want. As you already have invested and spend your 5 long years in your career which is really good and then there might be a really strong reason to look for this change. This is really important on account of your future and career.
But if you still are willing to make this change in your career and life, I wud suggest you to please join any reputed institute for Certificate Course-Payroll /SAP HR or other according to your need which will give you a good start.
But there is one more thing I would like to bring into your notice that you have to answer your recruiters about your 5 years that you have spent as a TRAINER. I don’t want to discourage you but wanted to know the facts and what you can face in your future while your interviews for this new role/ profile and job.
As you are ready to start with Executive Level, the best option I wud say for you is that you need to go with SAP –HR which is a very good and complete solution for you and also a demand of todays HR world.
Also I want you to go to the weblinks below posted where we have discussed the same issues with many members before

Hi Anil,
Firstly, I would like to thank you for your reply. I have 5 years of experience in the HR training and development department. However, during these five years, I have only worked at one MNC, which is my current company. My present workplace is quite small, and in the training and development department, people are hired only if they have experience working with big brands. Job openings in this department are scarce, and there is very limited growth. I also have knowledge of recruitment, training, and induction. If I acquire knowledge of payrolls, I will have a complete HR generalist profile, which offers higher job opportunities.
Now, what do you suggest, and can you please provide me with complete details of this HR course? I have also received an email regarding such a course. Please check it out and let me know if it is authentic.

Well, thank you for detailing your query. After going through your story, I want to suggest that you pursue a career in HR Generalist profile. Since you have knowledge of recruitment, training, induction, and are interested in Payroll, I recommend considering SAP HR as your first and best option.
Furthermore, if you intend to pursue a career as an HR Generalist, before proceeding, I encourage you to visit the weblinks below related to the same topic. These links will provide you with a basic understanding of what you need to do, where you should go, and the requirements to achieve your goal.
It is common for individuals working as Recruiters/Trainers to aspire to transition into Core HR/HR Generalist roles. While both paths have their own criteria and value, I suggest focusing on the HR Generalist profile. This role involves working on every function of Human Resources with relevant and necessary knowledge.
HR generalists are known for their involvement in and knowledge of various HR functions. They are considered versatile professionals who can handle any aspect of HR. Generalist positions can range from entry-level administrative roles to executive positions overseeing all divisions within the HR department. In smaller organizations, the HR manager may be the sole individual responsible for all HR functions, requiring a generalist with the skills to manage HR operations independently.
For further information, you can use the search option on our CiteHR page or utilize search engines like Google to find discussions and insights shared by professionals.
If you have any additional questions or queries, please feel free to reach out.
Best of luck!

Thank you, Anil, for the details.
What are you doing right now, and can you provide me with any links in Delhi/NCR for job interviews? I have theoretical knowledge of PF, HRA, ESI, Form 16. Will it help me to ace an interview at an earlier stage because I need to relocate and find a job as soon as possible?
