Hi, I am Head of HR at a pipeline fabrication company. I have a tender I'm working on that requires the provision of my company's HR statistics. I don't understand what HR statistics are all about. Please, I need some insight.

- Number of employees required to be employed for the year (planned/budgeted)
- Total amount of wages paid up to the last month
- Planned promotions and their associated costs
- Planned increments to be paid at the end of the year
- Planned budget allocation for training and education
- Current utilization of the budget for training and education/development
- Turnover rate
- Expenditure on official travels
Your report may also include future plans for:
- Recruitment
- Training and development
- Travels
- Increments
- Promotions
I hope this information is sufficient for you to create an HR statistics document. Please note that this report may be considered your monthly HR report to the management. I recommend searching for samples of HR report formats and content for guidance.
Best regards.

Dear Nkem,
I don't know which country you are from, but this is in addition to the information provided by Anayat. You can include the following points:
a) Number of employees on the payroll as of the last day of the financial year (for the last five financial years).
b) Total employee expenditure (employee cost) against total expenditure (in percentage).
c) Total expenditure on employee welfare against total employee cost (in percentage).
d) Revenue per employee for the last five financial years (= total revenue/total employee cost).
e) Number of grievances per year per 1,000 employees per financial year.
f) Number of suggestions generated per employee per financial year.
g) Number of suggestions implemented against the number of suggestions received (in percentage).
h) Total revenue saved or generated from the implementation of employee suggestions.
i) Number of lawsuits filed by current or ex-employees in the court per financial year.
j) Employee Satisfaction Index per financial year.
k) Breakdown of your HR budget, i.e., actual wages, statutory payments, welfare, training, recruitment, and others.
l) Number of promotions compared to total employees per financial year.
m) Education level of the employees - PhDs, postgraduates, graduates, diplomas, Certificate holders of vocational training courses, and others.
n) Age-wise breakdown of the employees.
o) Language-wise (mother tongue) breakdown of the employees.
The points mentioned above are not necessarily in sequence. I have listed them as they came to mind. Please organize them in order.
All the best!
