Subject - Need PF Procedure
Dear All,
I am workig as Hr-Assistant.So I need PF procedure for rejoined staff.Because Two Months before one staff was resigned but on 3-Mar-11 he is rejoined with our company.I need the pf procedure for him.Is he fill up form-2 or not.Or he will transfer his PF amount to another PF no.Please give me the solution

You can follow any of the following options:
You can retain the same number if you have not sent the left details to pf office.
You can give fresh number and ask the employee to get transfer the pf amount

1. you have issue new PF number as a new joining employee. 2. fill up new pf nomination form. 3. don’t continue old number you will be in trouble in future.

Dear Anil,
Since the employee left 2 months before, the intimation of left employees must have been given by you to the PF office. Now since he has joined again, he will be treated as a new employee...
Get the necessary PF forms filled by him as you do in case of a new joinee. A new PF account will be opened. Then transfer the PF funds of last service to the new account by filling up Form 13 (transfer form).

thanks for your valuable comments. I have question regarding a new staff joining. If an old staff left and rejoined the company after few months what about his gratuity?? his bonus?. In my present company i have issued a transfer letter to our associate company. The staff resigned the associate company and rejoined our comapy after four months. We have submitted Form 5 and form 10. Now the staffs is asking about his gratuity terms and bonus term. please update regading this issue as early as possible.

1. If you continue old pf number it menace he make continued service in your organisation this continuation will be expensive when he retired in a calculation of GRATUITY.
2. If you continue old pf number what about last three months PF contribution.
2.So you have to issue new number to him.

Mr. Anil,
if, you have taken resignation letter from the same employee and all the details are gone to the pf office as we does it in general basis in the monthly compliance by depositing monthly return with the form-5 & 10. Hence treat him as a new employee , but this shall vanished his other benefits like gratuity and all. Thus, i shall facilitate you in case details are not given to the pf authorities then show him like a old employee with the same pf numbers and joining. And as far as the gap is concerned between the resignation & rejoining show it as "lwp"(leave without pay).

An Employee has left the organization 8 months back and re joined now. But he has not claimed his old PF amount. Please let me know the procedure to be followed for transfer of his amount from old account to the new account.
