I personally think that one need not make any changes in the joining formalities of senior personnel. It is best to follow the uniform policy for both the senior as well as junior personnel.
You can ask the senior personnel for verification of certificates, fill up forms for issual of ID cards, bank accounts etc, relieving order from previous Company etc.
You would not want to be held responsible for lack of any documents at a later stage.
Go ahead and act confidantly. Possibly this is the onlytime you can act with an upper hand.

Nobody will question to collect the document related to joining formalities. Infact, a good personnel file contains all employee related certifications, previous employment histroy support document. You can goahead confidently, i believe any professional will not object for this process.
