According to me both are the same.
The word Generic itself means General / Common.
HR Generic / Generalist means the position involves all general activities of recruitment, selection , induction, grievance handling/ counselling, training / development.
Whereas the opposite is an HR Specialist where the person performs only certain duties for e.g
HR - Training and Development.
HR- recruitment specialist.
