Hi,
If your company has a staff strength more than 20 then you can go ahead and register with the PF office and collect necessary forms viz., form 2, form 5,10, 9, 12 etc. Same is the case with ESI. If your employees salary is more than 15k gross then ESI is not required for them.
For PF if the Basic plus DA exceeds 6500/- then also it is not obligatory to pay PF.

If your company has employees more than 19 then you can go ahead and register with the PF office and collect necessary forms like form 2, form 5,10, 9, 12 etc. Same is the case with ESI. If your employees salary is more than Rs15000 gross then ESI is not required for them.
For PF if the Basic exceeds 6500/- then also it is not obligatory to pay PF.

Hi Himabindu,
PF and ESIC both are applicable if your company employee strength exceeds 20. You have to register for PF and ESIC from the respective local offices. If you are based in Mumbai then let me know and I'll guide you the process.
You can contact me directly at 9867670755 in between 10-7pm or email me at manasi.c.shah at gmail.

1. Dear member, the coverage under the ESI Act, 1948, and rules/regulations framed thereunder is statutory in nature and compulsory provided the factory is located in an area where the provisions of the ESI Act are extended under section 1(3) of the said Act and 10 or more persons are working. Further, in respect of certain establishments such as shops, etc., the power to extend the said Act is vested with the appropriate State Governments under section 1(5) of the said Act.

2. The coverage under the said Act is not optional and will be applicable in the unit/factory right from the day it employs 10 or more persons. Therefore, for further details and coverage of the unit to which you have referred, please contact the appropriate Social Security Officer of ESIC or the appropriate Regional/Sub-Office of the ESIC.
