I need a experience and relieving letter. After a lot of research I have finally formed two letters. The only question/dilemma I have is:
Whether the letter dated on should match on both of them or it can be different?
Example: -
Experience letter - Dated on 30/04/2001 (stating experience from 10/04/2000 - 10/04/2001)
Relieving letter for the same - Dated on 10/04/2001 (stating experience from 10/04/2000 - 10/04/2001, resignation applied on 01/01/2001).
Does that hold good? or both the letters needs to be generated(dated) on 10/04/2001? Should the relieving letter be dated on the same day as the last day of employment - in this case 10/04/2001? Can it be dated on 30/04/2001 and still state the fact of being relieved with no dues on 10/04/2001?
Please let me know. That'll be a great help!
Thanks.

Dear
Relieving letter is normally given on the last day in the organization or after words ,it depends on the policy of the organization may be at the time of Full & Final settlement .
Exp letter can be issued while you are well in service and can be given on any day, not required to be your last day.

Hey Thanedar..... Date of the letter does not matter at all. Since what will count is experience and releving letter date mentioned in the content of the Certificate. UKmitra

Answer to your question is very simple,
Be it relieving letter or service certificate or for that matter any kind of letter, letter has to dated the day it is prepared and signed.
Making post-dated or past-dated letters shows the organization and person signing it in a poor light and it should be always avoided.
