I am an HR professional with 14 months’ work experience in IT and am currently pursuing my Post-Graduate Diploma in Management(HRM) at Stansfield School of Business, Chennai, affiliated to Singapore Institute of Commerce(SIC).This is a one-year program with classes being conducted partly in Chennai and partly in Singapore. Upon graduating in September 2008, it is my sincere aspiration to pursue a career in Human Resource Management in an organization where I would be able to actively involve myself in recruitment & selection, performance management, compensation management, training & development, employee relations and other facets of HRM and learn and master the same.
In partial fulfillment of my course, I recently trained as an HR intern at Polaris Software Lab Limited, Chennai, for a period of three months ( March to May 2008) where I gained working knowledge of and experience in various HR functions including recruitment, selection, performance appraisal, employee relations etc. Previously, I was employed by Infosys Technologies Limited where I was trained in J2EE technologies and subsequently worked for 14 months as a software engineer. I am also a B.E. (Hons.) graduate from B.I.T.S., Pilani, one of the premier engineering institutes in India.
