Here i have a problem regarding Labour Licence Applicability, i am working with a Labour contractor we provide a Housekeeping services in industrial area,I wanted to that whether labour Licence is applicable if we have diffrent contract with same Principal Employer if labour quantity of each work is less than 20 workers???(As per the rule of Maharashtra Government)
Please guide me as i didn't know about it.

no, if labour quantity is less than 20 workers for each contractor, you don’t have to get labour licence. you can show the concerned authority this provision under Labour contract act of 1970.

if y have different contract in same permises ( like houskeeping , labour, ect ) there total no employee is not more 20( all the contract) then no need to take licence .if it is more then 20 then Labour Contract Act will applicable.

you need lab licence against each work order under same principle employer if u engaged 20 or more workers to performe that job regards

what if contractor is supplying less than 20 workers to more than one companies. Let's have an example...Contractor is having 100 worker which he has distrubeted in nearly 7 companies 15,10,15,10,15,15,10,10 respectively. would contract license is required ? if required than by whom ?

We stand as a Principal Employer , we have 1 contractor deploying more than 100 No.s at our various Warehouses , the no.s are 10,15,10,9,15,30,25,10,10.Is there applicability of licence only for 2 Ware houses (for deploying 30&25 employees) or for all other as the total no.is 100.?
