Salary: which we fix for the month (that is for the Staff employees like supervisor and above..
Wages: which are pay on daily basis or on piece rate ( that is for the contract labour and other labours)

Salary
1)Salary is paid to white collar employees generally on monthly basis.
2)Salary is remuneration against the mental exhortion
3)Salary includes basic + da+ hra +conveyance + other perks & benfits
Wages :
(1) Wages is paid either weekly/fortnightly/monthly basis.
2)Wages is basically remuneration against physical exhortion
3) Wage is paid to blue collar workers
4) wages necessarily includes basic +da/vda/special allow+hra(5% hra as per MHRA Act)

wages r meant 4 workers or operational level...and salary is meant 4 corporate level and functional level..(top n middle level)

Naresh has hit the nail on its head. His definition is very apt and succint.
Actualy there is no difference... salary implies White Collared employees whereas Wages are attributed to the workers or the Blue Collar employees.
