Dear Experts, There are thousands of openings in Technical streams but its hard to get placed in CORE HR for a fresher. If an opening is coming preferences goes to female candidates. Those who are passionate about it get disappointed very easily. A generalist or Executive profile job opening is hard to find in most of the companies. And the vacancies coming for MBA HR freshers purely in Recruitment or Payroll its almost a back office work. What is the reason behind it. Can you tell me in which state and in which industries HR freshers will get a good start.

Hi Muralykrishnan,
:) I do not completely agree with you, I do not disagree completely with you.
I personally feel you have to start your career from somewhere, if you are really keen getting into HR profession please take up any opportunity comes in your way be an expert in that field. I myself has started working into customer service and moved to HR. At least you are getting an opportunity to get into the field.
You are at the initial stage of your career at the beginning only if you'll say that you want to do this that than you will not be able to get that exposure. So my dear friend pick the job into payroll or recruitment. You never know 5 years down the line you are Recruitment OR payroll head in any organisation.
There is no city or state as such for HR industry.
Hope it helps and All the best!!!!

Hi Muralykrishnan,
I do agree with suggestions given by Monica, now a days because of higly tough competitive environment, getting job even for any degree is not as easy. you have to mentally prepare yourself for challenging fields which comes to you. take it the way it is coming. keep up with your best efforts, use internet and different networking sites in an effective manner. let your knowledge updated and going. try out different streams, fields and in different aspects. HR consists of whole not one particular field, so boost your morale, give fresh start basing on opportunities, learn in different angles, challenge yourself. work hard, one day who know's you be the head of so and so Organization. dear friend keep going. all the very best. definetly your passion and hardwork reap fruitful results. BEST OF LUCK.

Dear all,

i am agree with all the explanation ...but sometime it is failure of our education system .we completed MBA he but dont know the basic of hr like what is notice period ,,how tyo prepare offer letter even after completing MBA student have not seen any offer or appointment letter ...

Now a days HR generalist has very huge work load previously only attendance ,salary appraisal now he involved in all the company activity so it is not possible to take raw person and trained them ...as everybody know their is gap between corporate expectation VS academical so at least student will join any professional class during MBA 2nd year so that he.she will understand basic operation of HR .

i am not demotivating you but try the above things so you will get job in ASAP.

1.join any HR professional class

2.select 30 companies where you want to apply & send your resume through their own website

3.join any recruitment /consultancy if not get job in one month.

so do it and you get the job easily /

best of luck ....

Dear Kishor,
The educational institutions stick on to the traditional class room sessions but as per the industry requirement they have(better we learn by ourselves) to give proper training on different kind of practices in HR like statutory compliance, employee engagement, advance Excel, Payroll management, recruitment etc. Then i am very sure about the success of each candidate.
