Increments, in private sector, are usually linked to performance and performance is evaluated once in a year by way of a process called performance appraisal process which is normally conducted in the month of April in every year. That must be the reason that you must have heard other employees talking of increment in the coming two months.Since you have not completed one year in this organisation, I am afraid you will be considered for increment unless the company has a policy that every employee shall get an increment in the month of April irrespective of the length of service and I am yet to come across such dream organisations. So check with your HR policy on this.
