One of my Friend Joined XXX company and he served 2 years there and left that company and joined in YYY Company, in the previous company (XXX) his aadhar verified as SURNAME.NAME, in his present establishment his aadhar verified as NAME.SURNAME.
as per aadhar records his name like SURNAME.NAME. when he is trying to transfer his previous PF account to present one it says like details mismatch, so he is unable to transfer.
He tried Modify Basic details option also but there is an error like your aadhar already verified so your details are not editable.
Even myself tried from my end. Any one please suggest me in this regard how to resolve his issue.

You should submit Name correction online : modify basic details option . However, if online didn't work , you can also submit joint declaration letter to Regional PF Office with valid document support in this regard.

Sir, You need to correct your name as per adhar and bank account. In your case the correction is possible offline by filing your joint declaration supported with relevant documents. Regards

Before proceeding with name correction/ change, please ensure that the name that you change to is as per your school and university certificates. It is easy to change the name and other details in the adhar but a change of name in your school leaving certificate and degree shall require gazette notification and other formalities. Therefore, if your name as per PF records is matching the certificates, never change it but change the same in the adhar. Once the details in the adhar are changed, you can easily transfer or withdraw the PF. After all, transferring the fund from the old organisation to the new one is not to be carried out on a war footing basis. Therefore, think which name should be followed and then act.
