HI need Urgent suggestions

Recently got selected into CTS ( Cognizant ), got offer letter also and my background verification process started - before telling the problem - will tell about my previous employer status

first company worked - choice - 2half years experience ([B] in this company i got Salary by hand in cash ( my salary was 5000 intially and later hike was 12000 ) , so company said that my salary doesn' come under taxable , so Tds returns was not done - so they gave me manual form 16 and there was no mail transactions because in company they assigned internal email )

second company - Unify --- 1.8 years experience ( in this company i have all the documents and everything )

When backgroundverification guys asked for the documents -- i Provided everything

They doesn't have any problem with the unify comapny , they asked me to provide bank statements or form 16 of choice company

So i gave manual form 16 , later they asked this is not enough send some mail transactions , which i don't have , so finally they are asking

Request application of form 16 - this also i dont have becz company didn't do tds return becz mine was not taxable...according to law and legal way it's right no need for tds returns

even having 3 half years of genuine experience and they accepted my present employe is not a issue, they are suspecting my first company

So how to overcome this , me trying all the ways talking to the first company, i provided mail from the company, everything

But they are not listening..and i resigned from present employer

Now my life is at stake...Hr gave 15 more days time and asked me to submit request application of form 16-- what i can do if the company didn't provide

M just an employee was working in a very small company at that time

Please help me out....will be thankfulll will do anything..please help me out ..

Hello Karthik,
Firstly, does your FIRST Company still exist?
Next, don't you have the Appointment Letter of the First Company? Or some document that proves you worked there?
While Form 16 is one of the Docs to prove employment, it's NOT THE ONLY ONE--so ask CTS the other Docs they will consider as alternatives.

I gave them every document of first company
Joining Letter, Relivng Letter, Experience Letter, form 16 ..still they are not satisfied ( my company messaged to them also ).. still they are suspecting
They are asking submit the request note/application of form 16 -- but they have given me manual form 16 - so request note not possible
I asked the first company - to give comptersd request note form 16 , they said will see
i tried to prove in all ways , i tried in giving all the documents, still they are saying we thinkng company is in suspected list
its not in the suspected list..me confused what to do...day night with thinking itself torture

I can understand the condition that you are going through.
You have already mentioned that you have provided joining letter,relieving letter and experience letter of the first company.Have they accepted these letter's of the first company? If these (joining letter,relieving letter and experience letter) have been accepted then maybe they want to cross-check that you actually received the salary you mentioned from your first company.
Assuming that these three letter's have been accepted,have you provided the increment letter or salary hike letter? If you have not provided and as from your replies i can guess that your first company is helpful,you can request your first company to provide a salary hike letter and a letter where the CTC that you received at the time of leaving the company with your designation is mentioned.

They didn't ask for salary hikes, i have documents of salary hikes also but they didn't ask
They are only asking request note of form 16
I have provided -- joining/relieving/experience letter/ form 16 / and a letter from the company regarding form 16 and work experience also i have submitted soft copy and also first company emaild to CTS and they have accepted al but not satisfied with those, they are looking these at suspicious note...even after company HR mailed to CTS with comapny existence proof till they are not satisfied so at
present i asked the company - to provide request note of form 16 , they said will ask CA nd will tell , today they said in a positive note
so if they provide then i will submit
But i submitted every document whatever i can i submitted them, till they are not listening

Dear Karthik,
Have you asked them or judged what is the reason they are insisting for request note of Form 16 ?
As mentioned by BlueHat they might want to verify your salary. However, your salary hike letters should have served the purpose.
Suggest you positively discuss with your new company inspite of submitting all the relevant documents what is that they are looking for in particular ? Tell them you have already resigned and is prepared to join them. Make your stand clear. As a last alternative, you can provide the number of your old employer and ask them to get information from them.

I have given the company number and hr number and i told them to go to them company and do background verification and i asked them clearly what you want
Finally they said will extend your joining date , you submit the request note of form 16 , they are sticking to that only
Background verification guys as per i know they gave positive status on me
But HR postponed joining date and asked me to submit request note
right now me fighting with the first company asking them to provide request note..they are helping me whatever way possible, they said will get back to you in 1 or 2 days
Why the new company doing like this me not at all getting
right now sitting at home with no work, can't go back to the company bcz i resigned

Form 16 is just to check on the permanent status of an employee with a company. As people suggested over here check for the alternate solution with CTS or else if you would have a Salary Slip with PF deduction in it then check with them if you could produce that on behalf of Form 16. The reason behind this is "In general people will ask for Salary Slip with PF deduction in it or Form 16". I hope this would clarify you. In first company , they gave me salary by hand in cash, they didn't provide me account so there was no pf - i got salary 5000 , 10000
thats why me facing problem . Me talking with the first company if they can help me out and also talking to CTS hr
Hope i might get solution , I submitted more than required , mail everything till they are suspecting
Was never in this situation , sitting at home with no work

How did you get to know about the Job oppourtunity in your first Company. they Could have Email, call you.
Hope they could have send you mails about the oppourtunity , and address where you have to taken up the interview (I.e Your 1st company).
Show them that, Also tell Form 16 is only applicable for the employee who is making above 150000 per month 2008 to 2011 - now it has been changed.
