Having spent the first 6 years of his professional life as an infantry officer with the Indian Army, author Nantu Majumdar almost never focused on wealth or prosperity. He earned and spent money and did it well. The army takes good care of its soldiers, so he never had to think of cost of living, his children’s education and medical costs. The challenge came when he completed his army tenure and joined the world outside. Suddenly Nantu found himself waiting for monthly salaries; money that got credited in his account would diminish faster than he expected or planned. He had already compromised on the standard of living and he also had to worry about his children’s future and high cost of education. He had now started feeling that his life was falling apart.

Owned by the Kings and the Powerful, the author uses the Elephant as an epitome of lasting Prosperity, Wealth & Abundance. Indian and more specifically Asian Culture portraits the elephant as powerful animal yet calm and gentle animal that brings good fortune and prosperity.

The desire to be Prosperous and Wealthy is shared by all of us, but most of us, no matter how motivated we are to be Rich, often do not understand how to start. We often fail to recognize our beliefs and habits that prevent us from attaining wealth that we desire so much. The author discusses these challenge areas in an easy to understand and a non-complicated manner. His clear understanding of conflicts of emotions, habits and psychology, make it easier for the reader to connect their challenges with the author’s discussion on the subject. Through his compelling logic, he makes the readers reflect debate and reason out the beliefs and habits that prevent them from prospering.

As a parent the author details his discussions with his children to explain, guide and mentor them in the challenges they face with the objective of grooming and instilling the right values and beliefs in their early age that will help them prosper. This gives the readers a strong in sight to how to deal and converse with children on complicated subjects, such that they understand it better.

The author discusses ‘Money’, with a clear understanding of the ways money works. His discussion on the myths relating to money, wealth and prosperity is characterized with simplicity of explanation making it easy for all to understand and benefit from.

The Author discusses the subject under two separate topics. The first is focused on, preparing our own self to move towards prosperity. The challenges that the author faced in this journey challenged his faiths and beliefs. He discusses this through true life incidences, including some life changing experiences especially from his army days. The second topic is focused on the Money. The author simplifies some financial terms in the common man’s language with examples. He then discusses the ways that money works and the myths surrounding them. He discusses his own strategy to both defensive and offensive strategy that he adopted to be rich and wealthy.

Being stubborn to achieve and striking a balance in life.

The book suggests ways to achieve prosperity through various examples and its almost as though the author is talking to you face-face. The feeling you get when you read a Good book...It lingers with you as you now know way to prosperity.
