I am asking a question related to my dada jee. He served in the Indian Army for around 15 years and is receiving a pension as an ex-serviceman. After that, he also worked in the Punjab government at Ranjeet Sagar Dam and contributed to his EPF for around 10 years and 7 months, from 1986 to 1997. He officially retired in August 1997 at the age of 60. However, his retirement age was in 1995 at the age of 58, but he retired on 30/7/1997. The question is, is he eligible for a pension or not? Please reply to me at your earliest convenience. I would be very thankful to you. It's quite urgent. Could you also advise me on the next steps to take?

Vishal

Your Dadajeee might be receiving a pension from the Indian Army. You cannot do anything to increase, decrease, or stop this pension.
Regarding State Government Service
In regard to his state government service, he has not served and deducted the EPS for more than 10 years. Hence, he is not eligible for getting the pension from EPFO. His EPS deduction was made only up to the age of 58 years, and after that, the deducted PF and employer share both are getting credited into the PF Account only. Now he can withdraw the EPF and EPS both.
