Hi All,

I worked previously in company MNC where I had the issue of location transfer. I wanted a transfer from banglore to pune. The HR's were stubborn and not willing to give me transfer due company polices. I had a lot of heated arguments and even my rating was poor. I had joined the company as fresher. The HR's were very polite though. In the exit interview, I was asked whether I would like to rejoin the same company. I said yes and the only issue was with location nothing else. I recently received a call from the HR of the company for my details as I was their previous employee and they asked whether I would like to rejoin the same company. I replied in positive.

So, If I reapply to same company would there be any issues. How can I convince them about my behavior so that I can get re-selected in the same company?

Need help and advice regarding the same

Hello Hunter 1234,
As long as there is mutual interest it is alright to join.
However you have to consider these points for which you only know the answer.
1.0 Was the rating poor only because you wanted the transfer?
2.0 Why do you want to go back to the same company?.
3.0 Could you not find any other job in Pune?
4.0 Why does your company want you back thought it is a different location?

Constant arguments affected my work, I didnt give 100%, hence the rating was poor
2.0 Why do you want to go back to the same company?.
Except for certain issues like transfer the company is fine
3.0 Could you not find any other job in Pune?
Yes, I was finding it very difficult to find another in Pune
4.0 Why does your company want you back thought it is a different location?
It was a general enquiry made by the company whether I was interested in joining them back in future

To add just a line further to what V.Raghunathan mentioned: "A mistake is a mistake UNTIL (1) You realize it AND (2) you correct it, to the extent you can AND (3) you learn from it. Then it's no more a mistake, it's EXPERIENCE.
Also, I think you have a very positive way of looking @ issues/situations--I have seen quite a few people who mix-up a bad experience with an employer with all the positives ones--and end-up taking improper decisions.

Dear Mr.Hunter1234,
The only addition I wish to make in this context is, if you decide to join your past employer give your best at your work. This is because the confidence the HR has reposed in you despite your poor rating. If you prove that the HR's decision of rehiring you was right it will be an excellent work place for you.
At this juncture, I wish to place my sincere appreciation to you for giving an open self assessment. I am sure that this attitude of yours will take you to great heights.
Generally we observe that employees always point fingers at Employers and give a clean assessment about themselves.
