I have been interviewed by a Hr of renowned company in patna, bihar (Hyderabad based company) on 2nd of January in 2014. Interview was good (lasted around 12 to 15 minutes) and I got fabulous feedback from the concerning Hr. I was told that I would get telephonic round conducted by the HO Hr in coming one week or two. I was assured since I got the backing of good interview session with the HR. I got my telephonic round conducted on 2nd of February, 2014 and during the interview I was informed by the Hr Ma'am that there is another telephonic round of interview would take place within three days with her Superior Hr or Senior HR with more emphasis upon your domain expertise and that would be final selection , The interview was good with the Ma'am (lasted around 12 minutes and so ), albeit, so, I was upbeat for the much awaited and most important telephonic round of entire process. the day came, I got a call from the senior Hr on 4th of February, 2014, The most important telephonic round lasted around for 25 minutes., It was the longest of all, the senior Hr said the result would be declared in a week or so.
subsequently on 6th of February, 2014. I got a call from my local HR which patna based HR that i was selected for the job profile of Hr and join us tomorrow or day after tomorrow and your offer letter would possibly be generated by the evening.
No letter has been issued by the time of this post. I want to know that actually how many days it will take to generate the offer letter ?
It is a listed company and the entire selection process have taken a month as I stated above. Could anyone tell the actual date of issuance of Offer letter?

Why do’t you ask the same question to the Employer ? rather they are correct authority to guide you further....

Generally companies try to shortlist atleast three candidates and tend to select the best among them. This is generally easy for junior and middle management positions and is relatively difficult for senior management positions.
At the Junior and Middle management levels the knowledge, skill and attitude of the employee are assessed and of course the pay package also plays a role in deciding the candidate.
The assessments made by the panel members of the interview are collated and then a decision is taken to hire the candidate. As your final interview has taken place only on 06th February 2014 I presume that it may take a week to 10 days atleast before your prospective employer responds.
You have not mentioned as to whether you have mutually agreed on the pay package, if this has not been done some employers tend to negotiate depending upon the interest shown by prospective candidates. In my opinion as you have already checked with them once you need not go behind them (presumably you already have a job on hand).
Employers state various reasons for keeping the candidate live and one of the reasons stated by them is, there is another candidate who is competing for the same position, when there is none really. The reason for this is to buy time until the top management decides on the candidate and to show that their company is a preferred employer by candidates.
Wait for their call and then take a decision. As you have gone through several rounds already I am sure you will post an information that you have received the offer letter from them by the time you read this post.
