Kindly solve my problem.
I have completed M.Com(Business Administrator) and MBA(IB), Presently working in HR Department as a Sr.Executive-HR & Admin, total experience 3.5years and i don't leave HR field. Now my problem is this,I am not MBA(HR) how it would be problematic to achieve highest designation in HR. if yes kindly suggest me. What i have to do ?

There are lot many one year PG Diploma courses(Correspondence) in HR are available in many good Universities in India.
Especially Symbiosis, Pune is having one year course in HR by correspondence.
Normally once you gained exp. and having Minimum HR educational background would enough to go higher.
At the same time if you are doing it in reputed institutions, that makes your professional growth faster...

Hi Ranjeet, Even you can do Executive MBA in HR from Symbiosis. But i have seen what matters is the experience for higher position. Education adds only one feather to your cap. :)

I agree that ultimatley your experience & capability counts.
However it is seen that there are certain companies who specifically look for Full time mba from a good university as essential criteria for taking up the candidature.
So if you get time to do full time in between it will be good.

Whatever the situations are.... there would be a way for enhancement of qualifications in the field of interest...
You can go for MHRM or MBA HR or any other PG Diploma courses in HR... For this your previous field of study will not be a constraint...

I had a same scenario as you have right now. About myself , I am a MBA (Travel and Hospitality) Full time and PG (HR) Distance Learning Program from IMT Ghaziabad with a work experience of 5 yrs and presently working as HR Manager for an Infra company.
Some MNCs do have a criteria i.e Full Time MBA (HR) during recruitment process , but if you have a strong hold on your HR Concepts and do well in interview and they will definitely hire you...Believe me I have come across lot of personalities who inspite of having Full Time MBA(HR) degree fail in real time scenarios as compared to Correspondence / Part Time PG(HR) professionals i.e confronting and resolving conflicts between employer and employee , handling sexual harassment scenario , negotiating and maintaining healthy labour relations ....
So Professional degrees do not play any role when resolving real time scenarios are concerned , Professional degrees are the license to get entry into any Industry...All count is your mental alertness and the way you manage and maintain manpower...
So Be Positive , Work Hard and most important stick to your HR Basics.

I'm facing a simmilar situation. While being on job as an Admin Co-ordinator in a reputed Educational Institute, I'd registered for MBA program from ICFAI, Tripura in 2008. Till then I could pass in very few exams, as many a times I was not able to appear for the same due to job pressure and others (Including that the course is too tough to pass). Till date I have got almost 4 yrs. work experience in HR in Educational as well as Automobile sector. Right now I can say that I can confidently handle all aspects of HR, as I've managed to gain practical exposure in the same during all these 4 yrs. Presently I'm heading the HR & Admin. Dept. of a dealerpoint of Toyota passenger cars. Now ny concern is that I want to finish my MBA but since ICFAI is too tough, so could not really bear with it. Will it be a wise decision on my part, to discontinue with ICFAI and register with some other recognised University for MBA (HR), so that I can carry on with my job and at the same time do the MBA course, which will help me proceed further in my career. If yes, then kindly suggest some names of recognised Universities, from where I can finish my MBA.
Need help. Its urgent.
