Hi all,
In our company we used to sign a bond for 2 years
Everyone has signed
Now one guy want to quit his job... (He is moving to Singapore it seems)The notice period is 3 months but he gave his resignation letter last week (Oct 9, 07) and now asking to relieve him with exp letters, relieving order etc,. within a week (Oct 15, 07)
The Project Leader is supporting him and as HR persons we (myself and our company HR Manager) couldn't do anything due to lot of internal politics
Guide me what to do now??
Shall we give him the relieving order and exp certificate or else ask him to continue the job???
Thanks with Regards,
Arunaa

LOOK,, DONT LET EMPLOYEES RENAME HR AS BUTCHER,,...
THE PROJECT LEAD IS SUPPORTING HIM,, AND THE EMPLOYEE IS GONNA JOIN ANOTHER COMPaNY,,
wish him all the best, and put up a special approval / note and releive him,,, THE HR can always put up special note / approvals ,, these are used when u have to break a company policy ..
we have used many special notes and approvals.... and u also can frame one ... very easily and take signature of project lead, ur HR head signature and the chief manager sign... :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P

Hi Arunaa,

As per your company rules, New joining employee should sign bond for 2 years. I don't know, how strongly you have quoted bond agreement conditions ?

as you said, one of your staff going to quit job with in three months , from date of joining. call him for discussion with you (HR Team) and explain clearly, that you have signed bond ,which has mentioned for your presence for this company for 2 years.

Before that, check out the candidate's attitude, work ability, aggressiveness, etc.. If company feels, if his absence makes heavy loss for the company , speak with him and get to know which company going to join, previledges etc.. and, from your side quote him extra benefits, onsite offer , rewards to make his attention to your side.

suppose, if the candidate, not having that much stuff and he is not that seems much loss to company, take an termination against him, "without giving him Reliving letter & Work certificate" etc.. ( Strict one, from HR side).

If his PL or Pm supports or encourage for his reliving , put an note (inter office memo) states his resignation to you hierarchy people ( CEO,VP,COO,etc..)

We, HR people only suffering all this kind problems from Employees, don't give him any letter to him. if you have given necessary documents to him, in future no should respect of signing bond. Everything will get collapsed.

you people(HR) will be in critical!!!!

Reply me , about your decision from this issue...

Hi Saravana,
He is a hard working guy and his role is Team Coordinator
He is handling a major role in the project we have involved
His absence wud let us in a big loss as we have to hire nearly 3 persons
instead of him
His main demend is money that is he feels that his salary is very low
But the PL is not allowing us to give him a hike actually she has to
recommend him for hike but she is not doing so
Therefore he is relieving and we dnt know what to do
He said frankly that he wnt come to office from tomorrow(Oct 16, 2007)
Thanks with Regards,

Hi Arunaa,
The problem clearly states about the Internal politics going on your company. Please rise an Note form HR Dept. to your higher Authority people and get the solution. If his salary demand reasonable, go on his way to make necessary things. Why i'm asking means, He already been in your company /projects and know well about work atmosphere etc.. suppose, if you going some new resource , again you need to recruit, induction training, project understanding, get in to regular work , etc. unnecessary waste of time.
Let see, what your management people decides? it's one way of learning exp. for us as of HR field.
Good Nite & Catch with some other issues!!!!
Cheers!!!

Arunaa
THANK GOD,,, HE IS RELEIVED<,,,
I ALREADY TOLD U,,, AS MENTIONED BY SARVANAN,, U WERE GOING TO OVERDO UR JOB,,, BUT I TOLD U THERE IS NO NEED TO OVERDO YOUR HR PROFILE,, BE HUMAN,,, AND ATLEAST SHOW SOME HUMAN BEHAVIOUR WHICH IS THE H in HR,,,
I THOUGHT U MIGHT ACT ON SARVANAS ADVICE AND TERMINATE THE EMPLOYEE OR WHAT.
BUT THE IT MANAGER AND OTHERS WHO WERE FAVOURABLE ON THE EMPLOYEES SIDE ARE THE TRUE AND REAL HEROES,, AND NOT YOUR HR DEPARTMENT.. WHO MAY BE KEEN ON HARASSING THE EMPLOYEE RESULTING IN THE EMPLOYEE LOSING HIS NEW ASSIGNMENT<,
SOMETIMES THINK FROM A DIFFERENT POINT OF VIEW< NOT AS A COMPANY HR,, THINK HUMANLY SOMETIMES,...
HOPE IN FUTURE U WILL NOT REPEAT THIS...
