I am working in a NBFC and we are planning to open few branches in jammu and kashmir. So please confirm me whether shops and establishment act applicable in jammu and Kashmir or not.

Dear Amulya,
Every state has different shops & establishment act (most of all same, but statewise). In India most of all laws are applicable except Jammu & Kashmir (Jammu & Kashmir has to sign for applicable). So 1st you check it out whether Jammu & Kashmir comes under Shops & establishment act.
If its comes under shops & establishment, then you need to register under the act.
