Hi,
I am Narayan Patil. I working with last 10 years as a Open ERP Functional Consultant in IT companies.
But where I worked in earlier companies with 7 years not any proper increment or Substantial growth. But I worked for the knowledge & experience . Now knowledge get increased but income is not increased. Current CTC after 10 years is 324000 per years. and Experience is at manager level. But now when i interviewed to any company, when interviewer asks about the current CTC then I feel guilty to tell low CtC after 10 years. So next companies are avoiding to me to take next interviews after telling the current CTC. And I cannot tell expected CTC as per my 10 years experience & Skills & knowledge I have. If I communicate the expected CTC as per experience up to or more than 700000 lac then companies avoid or not believe my experience & knowledge. And companies cant give quantum salary hike. So I don't come to know Companies have more importance of people skills, experience & knowledge or the persons earning income . If people are capable or eligible as per Company requirements in terms of experience, skills & knowledge then what is the problem to big MNC companies to give substantial salary hike or take next level interviews of that candidate. What the Mistake happen in past cannot correct but try to not happen in future. Then what is the solution to it? I have a question that people Judge on Experience, Skill & Knowledge is important or person Income? Please Help me. Now I want quantum growth.

Hello Narayan Patil,
There is always this difference between what is ideal and what is practical because ideally the employers shall consider skills, knowledge and experience but not CTC, if he wants to assess the job fit but however your experience says the practice seems to be that employers (may not be all) seem to believe that CTC reflects talent. Therefore the issue is when difficult circumstances confront us, there is no pointing worrying about ' why me' or ' why the world is this way' or 'I have done a mistake ' because those thoughts offer no solutions. You need to switch to solution centric mode. There is an interesting story of the eagle which I came across in one of my social media interface. When the eagle grows old, it's wings become weak and it cannot fly so fast and high as it used to be but it does not worry that it became weak. It takes a break and retires to a quiet place and plucks all the old feathers and stays in the hiding and waits for new and robust feathers to grow and then it comes out to soar as high as it used to be.
Similarly , when things are not working or do not seem to be working, we too need to think quietly instead of becoming restless and focus only on the positives of the past. The important positive of the past is that you developed a good knowledge and skill set during your past tenure of 10 years. Now you have to sell it to the employers. For selling your skill set and knowledge which you feel, deserve a better CTC than what is currently paid to you,you need to articulate it well in the interview. This means polishing your communication skills.Research well about the company and study the advertisement analytically and try to find out as to what the employer exactly needs and see whether you have what he needs and then prepare well for the interview by focusing on probable questions on problems relating to your job or the problems expected in the job that is advertised and impress up on the employer that you are the answer for his problems.or the need.
Now talent is what the employers are looking for and it is not that all employers go by CTC. The trend is changing. Finally, we need to be in touch with realities. The reality is that no employer may offer double your past CTC while hiring. Therefore, you need to also work out on a middle point where the employer may not hesitate to offer a decent package commensurate with your knowledge and skills and you also won't feel underpaid .Thereafter you can steadily go for progressive increase in your remuneration as you gain experience in different establishments/sectors.
On this note, I wish you all the best.

HI Saikumar,
Thank you very very much for your valuable Feedback & reply.
I have a question that Some companies are ignoring or rejecting due to under paid CTC.
So can I update or communicate the more CTC than the current real CTC. At least I can get the interview call or consider the profile to their opening. And I will or can show my potential or talent according to experience & skills at the time of interview.
After that I will communicate the Real CTC to employer. At least I can face the in Interviewer.
So please guide.
Thank & Regards,
Narayan Patil
