Hi Bindra,
I just can't understand and imagine how an appointment order without designation will look like? Isn't it funny? It will be called as an agreement not an appointment order. How do other learned friends react to this?

Hi Bindra,
If that is the case, what would be the hierarchical levels and reporting structures? I am just asking to know something new which I have not come across so far but not to test your knowledge and intelligence. Please share some more of your views and about the structure in your organization so that other members also get benefited out of this along with me.

Hi Harmeet
That's ok that your C.E.O doesn't believe in desingation but what about the candidate. He won't accept the offer letter without designation becoz that is why some people change the job. They want to go to next level from their present one. I go with Pradeep. I have not seen even a single appointment letter which doesn't mention designation.
Why don't you discuss it with your immediate boss?

Dear Harmeet,
Appointment Letter without designation is like a zebra without stripes. All these types of wishes of CEO should be laid to rest. Listen, Harmeet all these things can be done on a visiting/business cards and many Companies do it. (I feel he go the idea from seeing a visiting card of one of your clients or some other Company). Appointment letter being a strictly internal and confidential document should not have any effect on business or outsiders and is never shown to anybody and the copies are present with the employee concerned and his personal file which is with HR.
If I was in your place I would tell him to give all employees overtime as per Shops and Establishment Act, and inform him that people can go to Court asking for the same, claiming themselves as workers. If such a thing happens the Company will have nothing to do but suck it's own thumb.
