Emp Code
Emp Name
Designation
Department
Date of Joining
Date of Birth
Present Addresss
Permanent Address
Qualification: Educational & Professional
CTC
Subsequent Appraisal Date
Appraisal Remarks
Performance Parameters
etc.
All the data can be expanded on and kept in different files, with one master file linked to all others. It will be exaushtive list, but to give you an hint, the above parameters would be the beginning.
Seperate files to be maintained for performance, training, promotion increment, which should each be linked to the master file, so that at any given point of time, the management / HR is able to retrive complete information about the person in question
Records that should be maintained
Interview Date
Competencies for which s/he was hired
Remarks of the interview panel
I would like other members to add / modify the list .. so that we can discuss further on it

you can however keep on adding the salary drawn, expected etc.
