Dear All,
I am a chartered accountant, currently placed in Dubai. I would like to know your opinion as to which would be a better option for me. An Executive MBA from SP Jain Institute Dubai or CFA. Both are good courses but I am confused as to which one would be a better combination with CA.

hi, You do not have to think twice, but there is absolutely no point in doing an MBA after completion of CA. My sincere suggestion to you is to go for CFA. regards pujari

Absolutely SP Jain..... Incidently my cousin has also doen his CA nd then teh 2 yrs Sp Jain course - SP Jain is in teh top 5 intitutes in Maharashtra and competes with Bajaj for its 2 year programs - SP Jain any day!
Dear Mr Mayank,
I think you are mentioning about EMBA weekend program in dubai campus of SP Jain. As one of the citehr member says it is definitely good if it is a regular MBA program but if it is EMBA then CFA is the best option for you.

Dear,
SP Jain, no doubt ranks in top 10 lists. But the ranking is for SPJ , India and not for Dubai Campus.
I have a friend of mine , who has gone thru this program in Dubai, without much success. One must note that these extension campuses , does'nt provide quality eductaion.
you should without doubt move ahead with your CFA plans.
All the best

The S P Jain EMBA is the best in class as in 2008 SP Jain Dubai was ranked the number one institution of higher learning and is also the largest Business School in the middle east.It is also one of only few to get the prestigious AMBA accreditation from UK.

Dear Mayank,
You have already received good inputs from other members. I would like to suggest you that if you take up an MBA course it will give you an overall perspective of business management apart from the knowledge of finance. When you move ahead in career the role does not remain of a specialist it becomes a lot more genaralist in nature.
Many corporates prefer MBA due to the fact that it is the breadth of knowledge that many corporates prefer as against the depth of knowledge. You already have CA degree, if you want to have breadth of knowledge you may go ahead with MBA. Yet if you want to have depth of knowledge you may takeup CFA.
Hope this helps.
