Hello,
Five years in the world of work in Marketing and you wish to switch over to HR! There must be very strong reasons for this change! What are these? Have you done some introspection that perhaps justifies this change?
In any case I would like to know your qualifications, i.e. if you are already trained for HR! If you are, you may still have to be prepared to be equated with freshers! However if you are not already trained for HR, I would like to know if you are willing to persue a full time course of instructions in HR or you would be content with a part-time course as leaving remunerative employment to persue a new qualification is a rather difficult decision to make. The danger is that perhaps the potantial employer may not respect a part-time course. He will also have to be convinced about your desire to change track in function after five years!
Kindly provide relevant facts about candidature and answers to questions raised here. Only then we may be able to take the matter further for any fruitful outcome.
The questions of resume preparation will follow clarity on above points.
Do you agree?

Hello,
If Human Relationships and Interactions is what you like to adopt as your career, it is best that you acquire a formal qualification from a reputed institute, in HR, seek work opportunity in industry and develop your skills.
If, however, not HR per se` but counseling is your preference for a career, you stil have a acquire a suitable qualification in HR with emphasis on "counseling".
In the first instance MBA-HR from a good institute would be quite helpful and in the second instance, graduation (preferably post graduation) in psychology or industrial psychology or alternatively PG in social work (MSW) would lead you to your choice career.
In either of the cases an entry is possible. Your success will depend upon what you achieve.
I have a feeling that you need to introspect further and sharpen your focus for an ideal career. May be we could then discuss the subject better!
