to be fact compensation in India is no where comparable to the other part of the world, as we r still developing country and our economy is agri based, so you cannot compare our compensation levels with Western world.but i can assure you in future we r going to top employers in terms of monetary benefits...

hi
The compensation in india is very different from the compensation pad in abroad.
It is very difficult to compare the both and also two are different topic. So hence forth there is no logic behind to discuss about it.
Even if big MNCs Are coming to india the compensation world in india will not change except the it industry.

Hello,
Let us put this into a practical stuff, we all know that how many companies in major industry specific has clients outside India. This itself shows the interest for that particular client on cost controlling. There are clients who are interested in the work or performance of Indians, in vain they prefer to take up an assignment in India rather than taking an Indian to their country. It is only because of the reduced cost along with the better quality work which is performed in India.
There are other country who provide better cost than India, the reason for many clients not moving down to those country are nothing but they get a very good work done in a better rate.. This itself shows up that you can't compare the salary package in India with western countries.
Again there are some good slabs given to the employees who is of greater importance in India... :-)

The compensation in India is almost at par with most international companies. There are a number of expats working in India. This is keeping in mind the purchasing power of the rupee in India. For example the cost of a loaf of bread in India is approx INR 20 or US$ 0.40 whereas in Us the cost is almost US1.00
We cannot compare the salaries only on the basis of figures but along with the cost of living.
Thanks

Then who will pay the different type of taxes ??? Who will pay bribe in Govt. offices ?? For a single paper work we have to buy minimum 3 pair of shoe (to manage the wear and tear during the lengthy process!!!) ,MISCELLANEOUS EXPENSES ARE EXTRA........ So living cost is high in India compared to US or any other country !!!
