Retain the employee is very important function of the HR. In the present days out side job opportunities is more so it is very hard to retain the employee.
Attrition Rate= No. of employees left from the organisation/ Total no.of employees in the organisation*100

Hello Friends,
I am going to design a new Pre-Confirmation Appraisal form and for this I need your assistance. So could you please mail me some good format of the same on my ID

Regards/Vivek

Dear Sandeep..
To calculate attrition rate.. the formula is
Attrition rate = No. of resigned /Available Manpower *100
Suppose at the start of month May you had manpower of 10 and in the same month no. of resign is 1 only, so the available manpower after the end of the month may would be 9, then
Attrition rate = 1/9*100
Whereas if any new joining is there then it will be added in the current manpower and at the end on month the available manpower will get changed accordingly.

Hi!
I too am using the formulae (# of Employees Left / Total # of Employees)* 100. If you get through or have been using any other & simpler option for attrition rate calculation please let me know too on mr id
Swati.

hi dear all, What should be standard attrition rate for a company, which will not effect organisation’s operations. Balkrishna

Normally calcualation here is a ratio.
the numebr of employees quit / average number employeed in a given period of time multiplied by 100. The formula may be used for monthly or yearly or quaterly calculations. It is advisable for calculating monthly so that a line graphic could be created for a year or so.
