Dear Seniors,
I need your advice for the following case:
An employee is due for confirmation on the 1st of October. However, his confirmation appraisal form was submitted to HR by approving authorities after the 1st of October. For example, it was received on the 15th of October by HR.
In this case, can the confirmation letter date mentioned be the current one, i.e., 15th October, or does it need to be backdated?
Please note - I am referring to the date mentioned on the letter and not the confirmation date, which is also mentioned in the letter.
Awaiting your inputs. Thanks in advance.

You can put the current date, and the confirmation could be effective from 1st Oct. This is valid as we have some reasons to release the letter, but the confirmation's effect is from 1st Oct, which is generally accepted.
