Dear All, We are a registered contractor of Coal India Limited. We extract coal from different mines on behalf of Coal India in all over India.
My queries are -
1) Whether our workers (on roll) deployed in various sites will be covered under Coal Mines Provident Fund Act or EPF & MP Act. In the contract document signed with Coal India, nothing is specifically mentioned in this regard.
2) If the contribution of any worker is already being deposited under the CMPF act, can we shift him from CMPF to EPF?
Would request experts to give their opinion with legal justification.
