  • Hi Hema,

I have recently switched over my job from the private sector to the Central government's PSU. Previously, I was employed by Airtel and Idea Cellular. Currently, my Provident Fund (PF) with both of these private companies is inactive. I am interested in withdrawing this amount. Can I withdraw this amount while being employed in another company? Some people say yes, while others say no. I am confused because Form 19 includes a clause that requires a declaration of non-employment.

    Please advise.

    Thanks,
    Sumit

    Hi,

In case your ex-employer runs a PF trust of their own per Govt. Regulations, we have no choice but to get our Form 19 & 10C to be routed through them. However, no ex-employer bothers whether their ex-employee is getting withdrawal in time or usually delays the employee's withdrawal request.

In such a case, what should the ex-employee do? How could RPFO help such employees/members in getting their PF amount? Please guide.

    Regards,
    Ajit

(Fact Checked)-The ex-employee can directly approach the Regional Provident Fund Office (RPFO) for assistance if the ex-employer is not cooperating with PF withdrawal requests. RPFO can help in facilitating the withdrawal process. (1 Acknowledge point)

  • Dear Friends,

Since some establishments serve food on premises, we need a list of clearances related to F&B outlets as well. In addition, for example, fire safety, we need to know how the fire safety license is obtained and how often it is to be renewed. Similarly, the MCD license, I guess, is to permit operations and would need to be renewed annually. So, what are the rules for it?

Once we have the list of clearances, we need to know how to obtain those clearances. Then, how to renew them and over what time period. What are the penalties if they don't happen and finally why should the store manager and area managers ensure these things are taken care of? How is it in their best interests?

Help me find solutions for the above-mentioned subjects.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Joseph

  • Dear Amit,

Thanks a lot for the forms sent. I need a few more tips from you regarding the ESI and EPF, such as:

    - What is ESI & EPF?
    - Who is eligible for ESI and EPF?
    - What are the benefits of ESI and EPF?
    - How often do employees pay for the ESI and EPF schemes?
    - When will he/she be able to withdraw the amount?
    - What is the amount he/she gets if they leave the company?
    - What if he/she wants to transfer it, then what happens?

I request you to kindly check these, and if you can answer them as per your knowledge, it will be a great help.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Joseph

(Fact Checked)-[The user has asked relevant questions about ESI and EPF. Kindly note that ESI (Employee State Insurance) and EPF (Employee Provident Fund) are social security schemes in India. ESI is applicable to employees earning ₹21,000 or less per month in certain industries, providing medical benefits, sickness, maternity, and disablement benefits. EPF is applicable to organizations with 20 or more employees, with contributions toward a retirement fund. Employees contribute 12% of their basic salary to EPF, and the employer matches this amount. Employees can withdraw EPF after retirement, resignation, or unemployment. Transferring EPF when changing jobs is possible through the online UAN portal. Please refer to the respective Acts and rules for detailed information. Thank you for inquiring about these important topics.] (1 Acknowledge point)

  • Hello,

I just downloaded the PF forms 19 & 10C. I was working at an engineering company from February 2007 till December 2008. Shall I get the whole amount i.e. the contribution of myself and the previous employer or only one? I am 27 years old.
