Opinion - You will not become rich unless you are honest and a hard worker in whatever job you are doing. Dishonesty may lead to quick money but it doesn't last long.
What you need to do is find out where you can use your caliber so that you can reach the highest mark and walk in the right direction.

RBS - one thing I can suggest is: there is only one thing that always keeps increasing in this world: Population! So why not do something that would attract the masses?

In my opinion, you don't become rich unless you are honest and passionate about whatever service you are providing to society. If you are honest and passionate about the service you provide, everyone will know that you are very rich in this world of poor fellows all around you. Keep it up and do what is in your hand.

If you have some amount, then try to start a business of your choice from scratch while maintaining your government job. Concentrate fully on your business. When it grows, consider investing more funds (from friends, your company, a bank, family, etc.) and move forward. When you observe growth, make the decision to leave your job and focus on managing your business. I am also interested in following this formula.
